About Mark Shalashnow

After studying TV/radio and theater at Kent State University, with a couple of university theater credits, I went to work in commercial TV/Radio in Cleveland, OH and Tampa, FL. Later, I left broadcasting to pursue a sales career. Most recently, I was back on-the-air at 107.3 The Wave in Cleveland, featuring a contemporary jazz format, where I also performed audio production duties, and hosted live concerts.

With over 25 years of experience behind the microphone, my latest endeavor is marxmic, a home based studio recording business in Aurora, OH.

My voice is generic North American, mature, genuine, with a natural smile. My focus is company presentations, narration, e-learning modules, promotions and telephone messaging. I enjoy performing commercial work, too.

In my industry approved studio (WOVO Certificate 1069) I use the classic Audio Technica AT4047 Microphone, Focusrite Scarlett Audio Interface, and Audacity DAW. I can perform directed sessions using ipDTL, Zoom and Skype.

Some of my Clients: Roche Pharmaceuticals, Regeneron, United Way of Greater Cleveland, Liberty Mortgage, Dorsky+Yue Architects, Alt Media Studios, Maverick Insurance, Chronicle-Telegram, WNWV Radio, and The Performance Company.
